  • ¼ cup butter
  • 3 big spoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 5 big spoons milk
  • ½ small spoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups soft sugar
  • ½ cup chopped walnut divided

  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat a 13-by-9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until you have 1 cup of the mashed bananas. Add lemon juice and set aside.
  • In a medium sized bowl, mix the flour with the baking soda and salt. Sit aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the granulated sugar, butter, and brown sugar with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Whisk the flour mixture alternately with the milk. Add the banana mixture with a spoon. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Leave it to cool for at least an hour before you finish glazing.

  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in cocoa powder, milk and vanilla. Reduce heat to low and beat in powdered sugar, whisking vigorously, until smooth. Stir in half of the chopped nuts (reserve the remaining nuts for garnish).
