Do you excited to make slow-cooked baked beans Recipe Filled with bacon and beef, sweetened with molasses, and then slowly cooked until thick and sweet. If you’ve been reading this blog for a long time at all, you may notice that I rarely mention anything “the best”.
There are many foods that we love and that we make over and over again, but for something to be rated as the best, I feel it has to be “wonderful” food. You might be thinking that these are just baked beans, how amazing are they, right? Well, they are pretty amazing as it turns out.
Slow-cooked baked beans Recipe
Our friend, Johny, brought these beans to a barbecue in our house two years ago and they blew me away.
These beans are very tasty, full of meat, very sweet and savory, I may have “accidentally” stuck a container of Johny’s leftovers in my fridge and then forgot to give it to him at the end of the night.
Later I asked him if he would please send me the recipe and he was lucky for all of us, he was happy to share it.
The best-slow-cooked baked beans Recipe
We’ve made these beans a few times since then, and I just couldn’t keep them. I served them with beer and garlic roasted chicken, dry Memphis Style ribs, garlic, and minced steak, and just about any other main dish you can imagine.
These baked beans are great as a side dish, but honestly, I can happily eat the beans on their own. This recipe is really amazing and these really are the best-baked beans ever! Thanks again, Johny!
To make one of my all-time favorites, combine Sweet and Tangy Pulled Pork and Memphis Coleslaw with these Sundaes BBQ Beans!
